Hey.
So everytime i notice that when i open the seat up..there is a strong smell of gas. is this normal? it feels like i loose a few oz of gas as it evaporates out.
not sure why its such a strong smell of gas everytime it sitting there.
there is no gas leaking from the tank...the engine area is clean.
also i use premium gas and was thinking to just change it to regular due to price..what do you guys think?
since it had 0hrs, its only been premium gas.

My skis stink with the seats off too. Look for a loose hose... but the screen in the flame arrester will have a light coating of fuel, and when you shut down the engine... it just stinks.

Mine both stink also. I usually leave the hoods up with the storage bucket out when i'm not riding the. It seems to help out a ton!

thx..
is it ok to run regular gas instead of premium. i know the gas here does have 10% ethanol

I've gone to half with the gas, one tank premium, next tank regular. BTW the gas smell does not stink, it's man perfume.

Probably just the beeper, sometimes they will work again by just whacking it with a screwdriver handle. To test the beeper just unplug it and touch the leads to the battery, purple is the pos. lead.

If you need to replace it, it's a no brainer, radio shack 9.00, floyd bell 35.00.

should be under the front hood/storage bin towards the electricals.

its round, about the width of a half dollar about maybe 3/4 of an inch tall, two wires come out of it about a foot long and connect to a connector running out of the ebox, once you find it its one of the easiest swaps on the ski.

Yep, beeper is in steering column. When I replaced mine I chose to zip tie it in the top of the hull, that way if and when it burns out again it will be easy to replace.

My ski smells like gas as well. No leaks, hulls dry, guessing it is pretty normal. Two other skis I looked at had the same smell.
