fun vs comfort ?

I don't claim to be an expert. I was just trying to say that I enjoyed the Spark more than the GTI. And like I said, they choice would probably be based on where you were riding and what you want to do on a ski. I do own a RXT 215 so hopefully I will have that operating properly soon. I've decided to take it to a mechanic because I want to get it up and going more than I want to try to save a little money by doing the work myself. One thing about the spark 2up is it would probably be unstable with two adults but it's a lot of fun with one person.

That is really an unfair comparison. You would have needed to ride a 4-tech ski that had a 215 or larger engine in order to comapare hp to weight ration. The spark has a 60 or 90 hp and you tested a 4-tech that weighs probably 400 pounds more with ONLY 40 more hp.

Being fair.. the Spark will out turn and be more nimble due to its size and specific design. But,, if you ride an RXT-X with a 255 you would be amazed at how well it handles and turns and what not.

I assumed Seadoo had what THEY wanted you to ride there. And if that is the case they would sell the Spark long before the smallest engine 4-tech ski they make. That is what I meant by not being fair..

No problem. I just bought the GTX and the RXT because I have a wife and two kids and like to pull a tube. Bought a used GSX RFI last year and tried to ride it with my son and took a few too many unintentional swims. Really wish I could have compared the Spark 2up to the 3up but the one 3up that they had wasn't in the water. Go figure. The weight capacity of the full size skis is more family friendly and I like having the mirrors so I can pull a tube without an observer. Hoping to enjoy the GTX and RXT this summer and maybe modify the RXT after the riding season is over.

I also own a GTX and a RXT-X. I LOVE the two skis. Both are large enough to easily carry three people if you so desire and they can both pull toys.

In Ohio, mirrors don't cut it, we need an observer. So the ski must be rated for 3 or more...

Your going to want the RXP.. Quick, nimble and powerful.. Ocean and fresh water - great for both.
2 seater. You can get used. 2009 - 2013 under 40 hrs.

Like you, I am old enough to remember Carson. I truly enjoyed the show. I just watched a documentary on him about 2 weeks ago while flying. It was pretty interesting..

I'm in total agreement here, RXTX/RXPX with the big engines are extremely nimble, I ride with two RXP-X riders, (one heavily modded) and they toss them around quite often and have a dam good time, they are not big lug's made for straight runs in any way.

But yes, the GTI 130 is going to be pretty much a comfortable ski that cruises well but you can't toss around, in defense of SD however, it was never meant to be a sport model by any stretch, it does exactly what it was intended to do.

Anybody that says the new, large ski's don't have the fun factor, are just riding the wrong models.
