im about to trade my gtx 155 2010 on a brand new spark 3up
ridded the new spark for about 15 min the other day, havnt had that much fun in a long long time hehe
it is something else, stuff u can do with it you cannot do with any other seating pwc

the only thing im not sure about is the seat, it was so uncomfortable, narrow and not plush like mine
should that be a deal breaker for me ?
or maybe theres an upgrade to the seat to make it more comfortable ?

We have aftermarket seat covers but haven't seen anything that will add comfort. What type of riding do you do?

Such as surf jumping, towing, longer rides, lake vs boat ramp. Certain riding styles like river cruising leads to more seat time as opposed to something where you are constantly standing.

oh well i live next to the gulf of Eilat, so no big waves around here, might do a little bit of towing, long rides are not that relevant cause it takes about 10 mins of WOT to get from one side to another
so basically its a lot like a lake, just playing around for a half an hour and then get back to shore to drink some beer and stuff
im thinking about comfortability cause i take passengers almost all the time , mainly smoking hot girls :) so dont want them to hurt those beautiful asses.

another question please, i read about Vtech tuning, they are claiming to be able to get the 60HP or 90HP to 109HP using just a software flashing ?
does that even make since ?
if so , then why 109 on both machines ? shouldnt the 90HP be able to go higher then the 60hp ?

Generally speaking, go fast and nimble ski's are less comfortable until you get into some later model big ski's such at 2010 ish GTX for example. But even then, they are not as fast as the RXT Models. On the Spark, yes the tune can exceed the 100 hp area and yes, they are the exact same engine. It is the tune that basically unlocks the engines potential.

is the 60HP model and 90HP has the same engine ? is it just a limit seadoo engage to get more $$$ ?

and about the tuning
how can just an ecu modding add 50HP ?
and would that hurt the engine overtime ?
and what about the warranty ? wouldnt it void it ?

The engines are identical. The tune simply unlocks the engines potential. Seadoo does the same thing when you buy the 90 hp. They simply electronically make the increased hp available.

Anytime you make an engine Spin faster or work harder you decrease its life. That said, Seado designed the engine to run at the 90 hp level.

ok this all sounds good
do u know this stuff first hand ? or just read it online like me ?
i mean is this vtech tune reliable ? can i place an order :) ?

I know from this site. We have done extensive research. Our site sells the tune. If it were my ski I would go thru them/us. No one knows Seasoo's better.

:lols:
Where on this site is it sold? Can u link me to it?

I'm on my phone which makes it challenging to leave his page and get the info you are requesting. hfgreg will see this and paste the info I would think. If not, I will later.

Thanks JoeZ, I was at 30,000 feet. To hard to deal with multiple screens.

Seadoo for a Spark

Seriously? I'd never trade a full size for a spark. If you plan on any passengers and want comfort why would you even think of it?

Rather buy a late model used full size machine for same money as new Spark. IMHO.
Might have something to do with my age >50.

Funny how this is turning out, the 2-stroke guys love the Spark, the 4-tec guys not so much. I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

Well,, I guess I'm swinging both ways. LOL

I think the Spark is a simply great machine. It is quick and nimble and agile. But for cruising, it would not be my first choice. I'd own one in a heart beat for a spare...

Yea, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised I think that's the target market BRP was aiming for when they built the Spark. Ya know us "young" guys.

We just went to the "try a Sea Doo" event in Newport News, VA today. We were able to ride both the Spark and the GTI 130. For the "fun factor" the GTI 130 isn't close to the same level as the Spark. I would love to have a Spark but I could not see it being very fun if the waves are any bigger than a rough day on the river. Could not imagine the beating you'd take if you tried to ride it in the ocean. The Spark did ride an awful lot like my GSX RFI. Problem with the GSX is I can't ride my son on there with me because we exceed the 350# limit. Wish that they would have had the 3up model available to ride. That might actually be acceptable for me and my son to ride together. Also, Spark turns much, much better than GTI 130. We had to get in the throttle pretty good to make the GTI turn tight. Spark did it with ease.

That is really an unfair comparison. You would have needed to ride a 4-tech ski that had a 215 or larger engine in order to comapare hp to weight ration. The spark has a 60 or 90 hp and you tested a 4-tech that weighs probably 400 pounds more with ONLY 40 more hp.

Being fair.. the Spark will out turn and be more nimble due to its size and specific design. But,, if you ride an RXT-X with a 255 you would be amazed at how well it handles and turns and what not.
