what do you recommend? marine or regular automotive? on the oil line does it need to be a specific type?

Automotive unless you ride the ocean where the Coast Guard might actually look.

Oil line; I use tygon in a 5/32 ID.

Both marine or automotive fuel hose works, automotive is cheaper, if you are in an area where you are subject to Coast Guard inspection use CG approved. I used automotive with quality (Panduit) black zip ties.

The oil line is 1/8" id, Tygon, used in weed eaters, etc., I am assuming you are talking about the oil injection lines.

Usually the larger, since they are not under pressure don't need replacing, the small lines from the pump to the engine are the ones to replace. Check to see if they are stiff or brittle. The small lines should be replaced every 3years or so.

You might need to replace the oil filter.
