Got a 1999 Sea Doo GTS Limited and the fuel gauge on the dash just up and quite displaying. Any idea's on what it could be. I check the main fuse in the back (15amp), it was blown, replaced that and the fuse blew again. Check the front fuses and ones was blown (5 amp). Replaced all fuzes and blew the 15 ampers. Tried a 20 amp just to see what would happen and it did not blow. Not sure I want to keep the 20's in there. Any ideas. The fuel gauge went out a week or two ago and last week while riding the machine, it just up and quite with nothing happening anywhere. Thats when I check the main fuze, it was blown and corrided, cleaned that up and then I started blowing 15 amp main fuzes but not 20 ampers.:banghead:,:patriot:

I think you have a more serious problem than the fuel gauge. The fuel gauge is a fairly easy fix, usually requires only a float, see the thread under "How To Articles".

You need to find out why you are blowing the main fuse, do NOT use a 20amp fuse to fix the problem.

Is the ski starting O.K., if not it could be the starter solinoid.

fuel gauge not working

I just opened up the fuel float on 1999 GTX and did the fuse repair. The fuse doesn't look blown though. Is that possible and if so what could be the problem?
