It appears that my fuel gauge has kicked the bucket. I have disconnected the connector between the gauge and the tank. I did an ohm test on the tank side and was reading about .89 (think that is right I only have about an 1/8th of a tank) it also moved as I shook the ski to get the fuel sloshing around. I then put the key on the dess post and tried using a spare piece of wire to 0 out the two wires running to the gauge. No luck there the gauge still read no gas. So my question is: Since everything else on the gauge works, has anyone successfully taken this thing apart and done any minor electrical work on it. $250 - $300 is a little pricey for my blood for a gas gauge, but it sure is convenient to have.
