Hi,
Awhile back with the help of the forum I tested my fuel gauge and memory serves correctly, it showed "FULL".
I think i verified 12 volts getting to gauge and then i believe i shorted it somehow? i forgot exactly.
Anyway i bought new fuel sending unit OEM, put it in and when full with gas it shows 75%. Any ideas ?
I don't think i put the sending unit in incorrectly? Maybe i didn't push the unit down enough??? so it isn't pushing the magnet up enough?
Should of tested it prior to install!!!
Any ideas let me know!!!
i kept the old parts. was going to see if i can measure the distance from the rubber fitting that holds it in place, old and new..
here is my previous post...
