Hi,

Awhile back with the help of the forum I tested my fuel gauge and memory serves correctly, it showed "FULL".

I think i verified 12 volts getting to gauge and then i believe i shorted it somehow? i forgot exactly.

Anyway i bought new fuel sending unit OEM, put it in and when full with gas it shows 75%. Any ideas ?

I don't think i put the sending unit in incorrectly? Maybe i didn't push the unit down enough??? so it isn't pushing the magnet up enough?

Should of tested it prior to install!!!

Any ideas let me know!!!

i kept the old parts. was going to see if i can measure the distance from the rubber fitting that holds it in place, old and new..

here is my previous post...
1994 Seadoo GTX - Fuel Tank Removal Help please, replacing fuel tube so gas gauge works

anybody ideas to start? aside of pulling the whole thing out and holding fuel gauge upside down and hitting start button to see if magnet at top of tube makes gas tank read full?
