You live next to the wrong guy. When I was adding a trailer to my ez pass account the guy asked do I have any others, lol he couldn't believe when I kept going.

Just needs a starter lol

I would definitely scoop that up if the price stayed low. Like Spim said, it would be cool to poke around and learn about

re-reading the advertisement, WOW that thing must have been run over by a bulldozer, its in terrible shape ! It doesn't appear there's much to work with there, like 80% would end up at the dump.

yeah the holes he was describing in the post sound huge! I've read the hull material for the sparks isn't the most durable in the world, seems it doesn't take much to put a hole in em, and the steering columns break a lot also. Still, the engine is where the money is at, just for the experience of learning em. just a shame it's 5 hours away. Bit too far for me to justify

Buy it and stuff the engine in an X4.

I'm going to be very interested when I see the first build thread posted, unfortunately that is way over my abilities the only thing I can convert is cm to inches

Someone else builds, I ride, that's the way I roll :)

Why would you want to put a. Spark motor in an x4. Even turbo'ed they're only like 140hp tops and the turbo kit is almost as much as the ski. 951 it and be done.

Speaking of, why don't we throw a 951 in a spark? Lol

I do love my 787 2 stroke, but I would take an 900 ace powered x4 any day. Flashed to 110 hp and I'd be as happy as could be

96 XP800!
Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Curious as to why? The 787 makes the same power but less weight and lower CG.

exactly, more hp would be needed to make up for the weight difference. not to mention getting everything to play nice with each other. only thing you could do is ride on 2 stroke ban lakes. lots of work for little gain/no gain imo.

Have you ridden on the 2 stroke ban lakes? From my experience some of the "Inspectors" don't have a clue. You could show them that it is a 4 stroke and they would look a the old hull and send you packing.

It's sort of like modernizing an old car. Adding disc brakes all the way around, upgraded suspension with a fuel injected stroker motor that has modern electronic ignition. Still the same old classic look, but all new under the hood.

Not sure the cost would be worth it, but the fun of creating it would be a blast.

Biggest advantage, running all day on a tank of gas, not three.

from what i've read the 100 hp tune from vtech gets about 8 gallons per hour at wot, which would be in line with a 787. no concrete data on this of course, just me researching forums to try to stay informed for customers lol
