Well he came back with these pics. Not what I was hoping for but predictable. I'd get off my but and process it for $50 but I'm afraid to offer it cause I'm not really even motivated to move at that price.

Hey Matt,

I've got a question: How do you get all these ski's by your wife? Is it because you have so many, she just doesn't notice a couple more?

Inquiring minds want to know...............

Just got her a Vitamix for Valentine's day. Understandably she wants a normal size house and maybe even a baby of her own. She turns 30 this week and believe me that clock is ticking loud. My Seadoo habit usually allows me to hang out with her a lot. I'm next to her on the couch in the evenings and she comes up to my work to see me as I wrench on them while waiting for my tree service crew to return safely.

I want her to be happy so Seadoo tinkering will eventually turn to me putting my time into other things.

That's for another day though. This guy just called back and said he'll take $100!!! I gotta go

speaking from experience, at one time I was up to 6 ski's on trailers/stands in my garage, 2nd garage, back yard....and wife didn't say a word...

however,

I've never lost money on a SD project (although I have broken even once or twice)

I've lost $50 on a trailer deal once, but otherwise every time my wife see's a new ski, she's thinking about profits, not hassles.

besides... i've met Matt 3 times, now, he's about as nice, soft spoken, and cordial as you can get, (the opposite of most mechanic's i've ever met, who are generally very abrasive)

In other words, unless he's a different fella at home, he's too dam like-able to get mad at :)

so sad spimothy, u can't even remember all ur braley experiences, I'm pretty sure it's at least 4, remember when we met over in lakeland, then bradenton, then I believe u guys made a swap down south, and now ur river run. but one time I did tell matt on the phone, he has got the friendlist voice EVER!

doh ! I forgot the RXX and 95XP800 swap, I think I spent more time scrubbing that xp than riding it, but it was a nice ski.. I was big into my new yami at that point so the xp was more of a loaner ski than anything, I think I took it out as a loaner about 6-7 times over the course of 2 months and only rode it myself for maybe 3 hours. now my honda is the loaner :) so if you want to take the wife out again nam just shoot me a note and we'll set it up.

i'm actually just beginning to do some research on the bradenton, braden, myakka, alafia rivers for rides coming up so i'll be planning several trips up your way in the next 60 days or so.

honda aquatrax turbo ..... :drool5: yea that'd be awesome I do have spring break coming up the week of march, if we don't plan a vacay maybe i'll join u down south

well, for the next 10 weeks, i'll be riding pretty much every sunday, and as a visitor you'll have the advantage, just drive to the ramp , ride, then go home, no hassles !

I'll keep you in mind when i'm scheduling rides, we're doing Charlotte Harbor this week, then Marco, so in Mid march most likely we'll be planning stuff in the Bradenton area .

.

aint gonna lie, it is super nice and relaxing, i'm dreading touching my ski, i wanta check out one of the base gaskets on the carbs, and throw it in the water, see if it runs diff, and also next week someone seems genuinely interested in coming to see it from destin area for $1500

ps.. we finally sold our Daughter's Mustang GT, dam shame to see it go, but it was time. (if she wasn't 5 hours north of me we would have kept it because I had the local resources to fix minor bugs as they crop up, but i was at the mercy of shops up in Gainsville, and they were crushing me !)

so now we're actively shopping for a more "practical" and reliable car for the kid... for some reason of all the options, she mentioned a nissan Altima first, (the 2.5, we dont' like the other engine) but i'm just now beginning to research all of that.. (my personal favorite is toyota but its not on her priority list unless I find just the right one and can use my salesmanship skills to convince her)

so if you know anybody in Florida that has a nice Altima, Camry, or comparable fuel efficient 4 dr, or a nice "little" pickup, pass it along to me plez......i'm just beginning my search and i'll be picking up the pace between now and spring break.

curious how much u sold the stang for spim, i loved that 94-98 body style,

u should join me over here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/florida/171520-florida-classifieds-288.html

always posting tacomas

invested about 6K into the car, sold for $3400 :(

granted much of the "investment" was fixing stuff as it broke, starter, radiator, hoses, brakes, tires, computer, a couple of leaks, coil, distributor, vacuum lines, windshied, etc...(2k)
the rest was cobra headlights, taillights, new top, thumping stereo, seats. and some billet parts. (1k)

we were having some shifting issues, and since we had replaced everything but the engine/tranny I figured it was next :)
so it was time to let it go.

I think i'm signed up on tacomaworld, i'll have to check my emails at the office, I joined up there when I was looking for a tacoma and ended up with this dam durango lol

edit: guess not.... just lurked,,, now a member ... ty for the tip,,, good idea

that's not a bad price for it, and she got to drive it for years

that's so exciting, I hope ur sn is spimothy leary, mine is nammer :)

OK I got home with my salt turd(as Minne would say). Happy to find a working VTS in it. Boy it's a good thing I didn't pay more cause this baby sat out in the sun for too long. The trailer needs a lot of love but will get it and go under that 97.5 GSX I'm fixing for somebody.

The only aftermarket part was a set of Ultrac extended trim tabs. They work good and never turn up anymore so I was happy to see that. The key just fell apart. In the pic you can see the chip inside it.

All these old skis are filled with previous bs repairs. I had not seen this rear outlet hose mod before though(lol).

Boy the way some people treat their stuff. There is a thing called a tarp you know if you have no ability to otherwise cover it..
