I wouldn't say that it is over priced. It looks to be in immaculate condition and on a nice newer single trailer.

If he's asking 1800$, he will most likely take 1500. That seems to be a decent price for a mint xp on a nice trailer

agree to disagree, in Florida the going rate for a 96 xp is well under $1500.

in 2013...

I sold mine with a boat load of mods for $1650 and it took 5 months to find a buyer, near mint condition.

I bought and sold another (non mint exterior) with a boat load of mods for $1400ish....got lucky and the first buyer bought it.

both perfect compression, on trailer, and again, at least $500-700 in mods minimum.

my buddy bought a nice 90% mint stocker for $900, it had been for sale @ $1400 for about 2 months.

so, based on my small sample size, $1200ish for a clean stock xp on a trailer is about right. +/- $200 for condition.

It's all geographic based. My buddy with his restored 95 xp 800 has someone buying his for $3k. That's what it'd take for me to let go of mine too.

I REALLY need to consider stockpiling a few and trailing them up north !

but I did the math a couple years ago, by the time I factor in travel expense/time and sharing some profit with a northern relative to administer the sales, it seemed to added up to a LOT of extra trouble for maybe an extra 2-300 per ski.

anyhoo....

does this look like stock steering with the pad taken off ? doesn't quite look like UMI.

Lol, I bet he's wondering why no one has bought his brand new used Gsx for 5K

its kind of funny, he's asking more for that ski than I would ask for either of my two ski's

and I wouldn't trade two of his, for one of mine..... they are both significantly nicer overall, better looking, and faster, not trying to be a smart azz, (well, a little) but IMO it would be priced right at around $2,000 and he should take the first $1700 offer he got, assuming somebody offered $1700.

5K is insane (asylum insane), 4K is crazy but not institutional, 3K unrealistic at best, 2K is a maybe but only if your patient and have a couple of months to find the right buyer.
