Somethings rotten in Denamrk. The Deck is white--a 96 XP deck is Yellow. Hope it's titled as a 97 or 98 SPX and not a 96. :willy_nilly:

Woke up at my parent's house just north of Gainesville. I've only got 5 more hours to get it home. I can't say enough good things about the support received from Ocod and Spim. It was neat to drive up in person and see these guys. More story and pic to come.

Thanks for the update. Be safe in the rest of your trip. Looking forward to the "rest to the story".

Cant wait to see a video of that RXX RIPPPN ASS out on the water

Got home safe last night and rode it until dark. The guys rebuild seems to be on point. I can see where he used the right products to put the engine together. There are no leaks or problems of any kind for that matter. It is still in break-in so I took it easy just proudly sporting around the lake with the women and little dog with me. Before I put it back on the trailer I grabbed the GPS and just ran it up one quick time...63MPH!!! Remember the twin pipes are off at the moment for reliability so I feel great about only loosing 4mph. I will probably get one of those back when the motor breaks in and I make little adjustments. Bottom line is ...WE LOVE IT!!!

That brings me to the issue of thanking OCOD. This guy, I mean this guy...I mean they just don't make them like this very often. He ran all over everywhere to make this deal happen for me(just like he did for that Hydro-Trailer as some of you may remember). He always had his mind on helping via looking for the best routes and saving money on the Hotel room, etc. Oscar I can't thank you enough. BTW guys did you know it's Doc Oscar? Maybe I'm just a little slow but I was surprised and impressed that this Cool, super helpful pwc enthusiast was putting this together between running around fixing everybody's eyes up.

Spim too. He scored me that $150 95XP deal that basically paid my fuel bill. Him and his wife were real nice. He had got me some parts together that I can use on other projects as well. Both these guys have such clean houses in nice neighborhoods that you would never suspect a ski enthusiast. Spim has everything processed in matching boxes. Oscar knows the exact width of every toy he owns and has two garages worth in his garage.

Thank you also to everyone willing to lend a hand or put us up but I had to keep it moving to make it work. Now I need to get to work.

Thanks Matt for the kind words and i'll extend the same thanks to both you and Ocod for all of the contributions on stuff for me as well. My wife had wonderful things to say about yours, they had a nice visit while we talked about motors and greasy yucky stuff.

Once my GP is running spot on I'll likely be planning some trips over to the east coast to ride and Ocod is the first person i'll contact.

And don't forget the little red headed stepchild in this whole transaction was the 95 XP800 I bought off of Matt !

I took it out on the water Sunday for a test run, and she started up easily, ran perfectly, and handled like an X4 should. He had set it up to be a keeper so no expense or time was spared in the assembly. As I told Matt I need to put some lipstick on my new toy with some elbow grease and about 10 sheets of wet/dry 1500 grit, and i'll be looking good !

Fortunately that kind of labor is right in my wheelhouse, and I got started sanding last night, quit around midnight after I ran out of 1500 so i'll get started tomorrow with a fresh pack from the hardware store. I'm sick of paying $2 a sheet there so I ordered about 20 sheets of 1200/1500/2000 on fleabay so i'll never get stuck w/o paper again. (i had no idea they only cost $.35 online !) my goal will be to spit shine the X4 so it looks as good as it runs.

All in all, it was a good week for the Classified thread, kudo's again to Nammer for starting it...

Just this week we had 3 ski purchases directly related to the thread !

So keep the postings coming !

I'm looking for a Double trailer that doesn't need too much love, and a single gauge hood for an X4 that I can paint black.

anyways... back on topic !

I know this seller, i've bought ski's from him before (toro's xp/top end) and he might go low on this with no title. I have a call into him now for more specifics on pricing.
