has anyone called on the rxx yet ? if not I will tomorrow, i'm at least intrigued enough to make the call, and i'm curious what stock parts he does have and how much

re: jsg comments,, i feel the same way, not quite sure how to value it "as is" but I DO know that this model would sell for 3K if running, even if a lot of the stock parts were removed. its still rare and quite sexy... but one of those would be better if you came home with the ski for 3K, and a whole bunch of spare parts, heck, i think the pumps run 600+

does that 97 gti look like it's missing a pump, or is it really far in?

I looked at a RXX up here last yr. I spoke to the mechanic at that shop, he said you need to be a "great tuner" to keep this running right.
He was selling it for around $3500 in Michigan.
The RXX weighs about 50 lbs more than the RX but has 30 more hp that gives it a weight,Lb/HP ratio of 4.644 as compared to a Rx that has a ratio of 5.446.
To compare a 96 XP has a ratio of 4.600.


On the GTX it looks like the reverse bucket is missing too.....unless the sun shadow is playing tricks on us.

Hmm Rxx @ 4.64 lb/hp calculates to 742lb ski w/fuel (yikes).

The X4 @ 4.6 is 506lbs again with full fuel. Hmmm why not take a hopped up 160hp motor drop it in a 500lb hull (ok add 25lb larger motor)? 3.3lbs/hp!!!
Then again even a plain vanilla stocker @130 results in 4lb/hp...

Just sayin fun per lb gotta Luv X4s!

preciate it oscar, but you're so far away, I think my skis are close to being operational though, dennis is sending me a carbon seal, so i needa put that back in with the driveshaft and pump, and then my 96 gsx, the hesitiation is gone when i switched water regulators and removed the fuel selector switch (not sure what the prob is) but it's only hitting like 6200 rpm, so I'll try cleaning the raves next, but it does run though

yea i thought heavily bout the gsx, considering how i have 2 of them, and prob need parts all the time, but i have no place to keep it/strip it/ and toss it, not sure how easily tanks even sell for, but i figured if it has mpem, that's prob bout $150 right there, but I would have to put in bout $20 gas and time and energy....

mpem is the real item there...the rest is nickle dime stuff... i've torn them down b4, its easy, if it was local it would already be in my garage, i'm just too lazy to drive to tampa
