Went to help the guy for the engine but he ended up selling for ~200 bucks
:banghead:

Stayed to help him change fuel lines and tear into carbs suffering from the green goo.
He was having bogging issue at full throttle.

Ordered a single intake from 99spxxx to convert the dual to single carb.
The intake he has where bolt holding carb goes through is missing a chuck near wall. So it needed to be replaced.

Made a few bucks and everybody happy.

sold all my skis, no longer a FL dooer :(

blue gsx actually started and ran like normal (on trailer of course)
purple spi, looks like the start/stop button is stuck, but it did try to start itself
red gsx, still full of water, but cranks when u jump the solenoid

i'm relieved they are gone, but I think guy was pretty satisfied with his purchase too

No longer a Fl dooer, but it didn't take long to start looking again :) :)

yea, i guess i could say i was pretty motivated, the longer it took, the worse off the 97 gsx would have been, i sold everything for 2100, imo, basically rock bottom prices were about 800 for a gsx, 800 for a gsx, $500 for the spi, and free trailers for the convenience of taking everything. he did however, light his hand on fire and singed his eyebrows, because he was jumping the solenoid on the red gsx to get the water out of the motor, the engine compartment was lit up, i was aware of a gasoline leak doing that, but apparently carb cleaner is flammable too, guy was real cool though, seemed like he was gonna fix everything up for his kids

ROFL

yea this was before he even bought it, i was thinking, hell yea, do whatever u want to do to it, even if you don't take it, its one step closer to getting them running. I just jumped the solenoid to show him it turns, but i didn't care to recover it cause i figured it'd be gone quick, and i didn't want to keep doing that cuse the sparks.

Congrats on the sale (I guess).

i'm relieved but kinda sad they are gone, it was so awesome riding when the water was smooth as glass, and seriously, these skis, even old 2 smokers are chick magnets, of course i'm married, but whenever i am out riding with friends, girls always ask us to ride the skis, of course they are just using us, well one time it was 2 guys asking to take their girls for rides, but regardless, girls in bikinis never talk to me on a regular basis

You're selling yourself short Nam. YOU are the chick magnet. The chicks are using the Seadoo's as an excuse to get to you!!!

haha you're too kind, maybe you are right, i think my dogs are chick magnets too, whenever I go to the dog park, there are always cute girls there to talk to as well, but without my pups and skis, then I'm sitting here on the interwebz :)

What color(s) sporty is it?

Well see it's a surprise. I can't loose!!! I was looking around at the fleet and realizing that everything I have is getting ridiculously racy. The wife has gotten a little more comfortable on the XP800 with Rossier pipe and Buckshot carbs. But my son is getting too big to ride with me and I don't feel smart about trowing him on a sharp cutting 60mph right away. Now if it turns out to be a 95XP then it may very well end up a racer.

Nam I'm purposely not commenting on your lack of Seadooness yet. If it persists then I will have to fix your "problem" myself by being one of the guys that brings an extra and picks you up to meet Spim for a river exploration.

that would be AMAZING :drool5: we should schedule a weekend now :) but yea i keep trying to tell myself selling all of them was a good idea, i feel my skis were prob worth more, but i've saved myself so much money by buying parts for them in the future, trailering them back and forth, gas, and lots of time and frustration, plus we can look for a place without a garage for august, that'll save some bills there too

yea i'm just trying to rationalize how reasonable i'm being, i actually don't like it either :banghead:

on the plus side, matt, oscar, and spim, u guys won't get calls in the middle of the work day or weekend with q's about why my ski is acting up or broke, if u guys do get a call from me, it'll be

"hey, i found this .... for this ..... should i get it?"

lol, it's prob gone, cause it's been there for 2 weeks, but it's close enough, roughly 45 min drive, it's actually where i got my first ski, I'll call in the morning to see what kinda ski it is :)
