How is yours built? I'm on the fence with buying or building another one. Cheap, simple, sturdy sounds pretty good.

While we're already off topic, was wondering about some alternatives to carpet on bunks. I've got a giant roll of marine grade vinyl with foam, think our would work? Not like it's gonna get wet. ..

What about Trex? All the new boat lifts use "plastic" 2 x 4's in place of carpeted bunks.

At home depot you can get the carpet for $10. I think the vinyl will snag. I do not think the seadoo will slide nice on that

Loaded it on all by myself. Gripped very little but not too bad. For a heavier ski, it might be a little harder. Water or lube on the bunks would prob. Ease difficulty

All in all, saved me $10 and a trip to the store. I ain't mad at it

like a glove! Got my workout in for the day...., loaded my xp hull on the spx trailer and stuck it in the backyard. Got all my 'money ski's' safe and sound in the garage finally. Now it's time to do work....

I prefer the wood one from the guy twinturbomustang??? (or what ever his name is), I have two, a tall one and a low boy. The low boy is just high enough so the hull won't hit the cross pieces. I can cut and assemble one of these stands with casters in probably an hour or less. Cutting the lumber is 10 minutes, having a chop saw with a stop is KING for repeat cuts like the short 22.5 pieces. I have less that $45 into the tall one and that is with buying lumber and castors, I had the screws and carpet. Carpet on the bunks, I think your going to regret that vinyl in a few days when it bonds to the hull. I also see a few more gaps you could fill in there.

I used the same diagram from twinturbo. He should patent it, it's an easy and sturdy cart. Once I sell the spx I'll replace the vinyl with carpet, it was just kind of a quick fix because I lack the patience to wait to get carpet .

I need to get a miter saw for future projects, using a circular saw really sucked!

My set up is similar to this, but I got a Ryobi stand which was almost dead on the dewalt stands. I'm not a contractor, I just had to cut a wad load of spindles for my fathers stairs and bending over was old.

You won't believe this, I made the same cart racer did, I cut it all with a jigsaw. I have never been so sore as after building that. Didn't have any other tools with me

Weather was nice so figured i'd clean em up. Took the broken hood off the 98 last night and could barely stand the smell and disgusting stuff on it. Found multiple dirt dobber nests in it

The 98 had a gel like moldy milk looking goo in it. I think I have cancer now
