Does BRP use the same cases and cylinder head for all 4tec's??

Hey Guys,

Bought a project ski, it's a 05' RXT 215. Lost an exhaust valve mangled the head, cracked the sleeve and inner cylinder wall. Other than a rebuild of the engine (and SC) and a good buff this ski will be good to go. I bought a crank case set, and cylinder head off the interweb. This set was from an 06' GTI 130. So my question is basically the title of the thread. I'm alright to put the RXT crank/pistons in the lower case, and then put the rxt cam in the head?

Appreciate the input. Checked the fiche and the part numbers are different, but can't find any differences in the actual parts. I know they moved the CPS sensor around on the MAG cover for different models.

Anyways Input is Super Appreciated!!

Just for anybody that wanted to know. The castings for all 4TECS are the same, however you must marry the same MAG COVER with the SAME crank. They cannot be divorced and interchanged as the CPS sensor is in a different location. I just spoke with a 12 year BRP tech that I trust.

You sure are getting really handy at tearing down and rebuilding these 4 strokes. You could make a nice bit of money buying blown up stuff like this and flipping it.

Yah man ... just went all the way to North Carolina for this one. I've just priced everything out "all in" on this RXT I'll be at $3200-$3500. That's a totally rebuilt engine, head and supercharger Obviously that doesn't count my hours working on it.

Very nice. If i come across any good deals on handy man specials around my area ill let ya know.

I would certainly appreciate it ... Ill cut u in for sure. I sure as fawk didnt get into my speedster 200 on my salary thats for sure!!
