Before I close the crankcases, I have two questions:
1. I noticed that there are three very small (1/16") dents on the edges of Webs on the crankshaft. Is that a problem? The damn thing was supposed to be new.
2. Can I use lithium grease w/Molly to lubricate the cavity in the seals on the crank? I am presuming that the "cavity" (see photos) is the concave part of the seal that faces the bearings.
Hopefully, the answer is no to the first question and yes to the second so I can get this motor assembled today.
