I'd buy a new 02 XP.... $8k? Sold.

I was trying to pick up a 99 GsxLtd with a hole in the engine case. From syr or something NY.

Seller "I can't drive to meet you, with the cost of gas". Well what the hell do you think this ski runs on?!

I asked the seller to call me at least 2x. They are emailing me from a Verizon 4g device. It's obvious they have a phone.

Why are people so stupid?

Well

Actually, I'm rethinking this.
$800 for ski plus invalid trailer
$1100 engine.

$1900 no trailer.

Kbb says $2200 maybe.

So... Save $300 to do the labor and get a new engine, or just try to find a running one....

It's a 99 GSX LTD BTW. I want one of those for a season or two.

actually i think your overpaying at 800, you should be looking at 400-500, and is there an extra charge for a hole in the case ? (by the rebuilder)

however 2200 is about right, they go for about 1900-2300 around here.

Since i gave up on the 2000 RXX i came across this at a dock place.
It's a 2001 GTX limited DI. Low comp in both cylinders, faded hull in some places, seat beginning to split, no trailer......$500
Supposedly they had 2 different guys wanting to buy for $500 but neither one followed thru on it.....makes me wonder.
He said the owner had it "rebuilt" by Motor city sports in either late 2010 or sometime in 2011....so it might have had the same problem twice. IDK if the first rebuild was just a top end or what. battey was dead so i could even test it.....then after I left, I thought of just removing the plugs and see if the pistons move up/down....DUH
For a 951 the weight/HP ratio is just a tad smaller than my GTX 787.....6.1 compared to 6.3....top speed is the same according to Seadoosource.com........so why should I switch????? maybe to flip it after just a top end and let someone else worry about?????

Are DI's harder to work on? More costly too, right?

more costly, and harder to diagnose issues, much harder. but 500 is about the spot on price. but its an expensive investment, di's are only attractive when running right. bought a similar deal for about the same price and the first thing I decided to do was dump all the di parts and convert it to carbed. which in my case immediately doubled the initial investment because I now needed two ski's to make one good one :(

is it the blue and grey one? or the bright red. (i'm a big fan of the bright red)

yep that guy is all over the state of Missouri as well.

everytime i see it I flagged it for scam. The 2 skis are already boxed up ready to ship to your door after payment. I checked & they gave me a city in florida, then when asked for the address they said it's ready to ship out.

How can we contact CL and report this????

This is a current listing on Tulsa's Craigslist as well.... Hate the scamming douches, I really do.

You can always tell though, they have a non-descriptive picture, no phone # and never enough info... We should all spam the douche at the same minute of the day.

Yep, if you knew their email address you could sign them up for porn delivered to their inbox daily. Did that a few times years ago to non paying D-bags on Ebay, try explaining that to the Mrs.! Oh to be a fly on the wall when that hit.

I've been flagging it on Seattle CL for a few weeks now and even sent CL an email. Nothing has changed. I don't think
CL gives a crap. I sen my email to CL by going to the "help" link and clicking on the "contact us" link and filling out the
email form. I gave them 4 links in the same day to this scam and mentioned the fact it's all over the USA.

LOL heres what happened....back in spring CL changed a bunch of things to kill all the programs made to post all over the US, repost ads, "is it still available" guys trying to get your email to spam you, etc.

In the last month the programmers caught back up and now the scammers are running rampant.

Last couple ive seen are a tahoe boat, toyota xle, and a chit ton of others.

I want a mold! Seadoos by special order!
Sales associate, "96 XP? What color scheme? We use Black Tip seat covers. With or without decals? Which package? Stock impeller? Solas and Scat. OK, grate and sponsons? Tool and safety kit? Ok, we can have that ready in 3-4 weeks. With those options you cost will be $6649. We accept all major credit cards, wire transfers, certified bank checks, or, with an approved credit application, we can offer financing. How would you like to reserve your order today?"
Buyer, "I love it. Why did Seadoo abandon these machines."
Me, "Another order, fantastic! That's 3 XP's this morning."

Everything has its price....I have someone locally with molds.

This is one of my faves....my brother spotted it on Monday.
