employee and can deliver the boats anywhere in the US with "express

Ship anywhere? This has scam written all over it. And what a surprise.... The photos show no registration numbers on the hulls? Are there really people stupid enough to fall for things like this?

If memory serves, these are the same two machines that were listed in the spring someplace near Lou Doo. I think the story then she was being deployed overseas and couldn't store them.:o
 
I emailed her back this morning saying that friends in Naples/Ft. Meyers could look them over for me and asked for her address and cell number to make arrangements for payment......the price is now $2675.

Here is what just got back.......same ole story. Also the ad in Detroit and NY have already been flagged for removal. I just flagged the Tampa ad this morning.

Her reply....
Due to the fact that I'm very busy with my work and I don't stay too much at home, the boats are already at the shipping company and will be delivered with "express delivery", again the shipping costs are included in the price. I've already paid $800 for insurance and $525 for shipping. So you only be paying $2,675 and the jets will arrive to you in 2-3 business days! I think in one of the many pictures there was a camper. Probably belonged to the original owner and ad poster. Didn't some one see this in Sweden???????

Funny, that I have not rec'd a reply to my last email saying that we know it's scam (also many ads for same item) and been reported to Craigslist.
 
Way back before these types of scams were commonplace I almost got $2500 of my buddies money stolen. 02-03ish...

It was on Ebay...and unlike these stupid prices it was a nice 96 XP race ski for $2500. Cheap, but not 2 new machines for $3k cheap.

I went back and forth and the guy says I use this Escrow company...and gives me a link. I check the website out and it looks completely legit. So the website walks me through the process...lol which I go and get a western union....well my buddy did.

I email the "company" and for some reason I get my email kicked back. So I scour the site and find a phone number. I call a number on the site and it sounded like a 1970s answering machine of some Taliban guy. At that point I called my buddy and told him to freeze the funds. Froze it before they got it.

I've never understood why they post these ads so cheap. Do they figure the dumbest of the dumb will reply?
 
I have driven up to that boat yard in Lake Lanier (Dawsonville, Ga) before to pull old boat parts off while dodging bees. There is a lot there but very little the elements have not claimed. They got a few computer dudes in the office posting adds everyday. They are not really trying to get $750 out of each dead, faded, locked and half-stripped Doo. I think one of those dudes was just taking a poke to try and cover his salary.
 
I have a hard time believing that...Seadoo made a kazillion machines in the 90s. It will eventually get harder and harder, but I dont think it will be 57 chevy like.

Plus....theres plenty of molds out there!
