Hi,
I'm replacing a choke cable on a SEADOO 1997 GSX. I Have successfuly removed the cable from the carb. (choke was stuck so I inspected carb and the cable was frayed at carb end, and choke mechanism at carb works fine with cable removed!).
The issue is removing the 4 screws/bolts on the steering cowling. The parts manual says they are K40 * 16. The shop manual shows a phillips head but they are not. They have hexagonal bolt heads (same bolt head size (lots of them!) as the trim underneath the storage cover! The size is an issue because none of my box spanners will fit. They have a head size between 5mm & 6mm? Please can anyone suggest how to remove them and the tool? I presume I must have to remove the steering cowling to replace the choke cable?
regards
