Does the beeping system deny function of the boat? As in, if it beeps a certain amount of times will the boat not start? OR is it a system that functions as a warning. As in, this is what is wrong with your boat but go have fun anyway?

Thanks for you time.

the beeps do coincide with the function. 4 beeps means its not in neutral and it wont start.

I realize that the beeps mean something and what they stand for, I just wondered that if it beep 8 short or 1 long (those seemed to be the worst) will it still start and run fine?

No... if it beeps anything other than twice... it's not going to start.

Will it turn over and just not fire or will the computer not even let it turn over?

Also what does it mean when it just keeps beeping about the same pace as a clock ticking(I counted 20 beeps and stopped counting)? Mine usually beeps twice but it did it out of the blue one time.

Beep Question

If your key was inserted incorrectly, you will get a series of beeps and your boat will not start. For mine, 2 beeps the key was correctly inserted and the boat will start. If i hear 1 long beep, nothing will happen. I have to pull the key and start over.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, That does answer my question that if a certain number of beeps occur or a particular pattern then the boat will not start.

The shop manual and also the owner/operator's manual have a section that explains all the differnt beep. You can get the manual on this forum. Just click on "HOME" and then look for seadoo manual at the top in the thin white space.
