I am looking for a boat and I was told that the Chanllenger 18 is an excellent option. Can anyone tell me anything about the boat. I do not want a sales person telling me that it is excellent. Also, any pro's and con's. Thanks

What are you looking for in a boat? That would be a good start, and which Challenger are you talking about the 180 or 1800?

I am looking for a small family boat. I picked this one because it is a 2008 with only 6 hours on the engine and the boat is in perfect condition and the price is around 10K. This will also fit in my garage. I will most in the bay side with my wife and 5 year old son. It is just for us to go out and cruise.

Sounds like the perfect boat for what you want. That is a really good deal if is is in that condition and mechanically sound.

180 or 1800 or ? Which one are you looking at?

The only bad thing I can say about my 180 is that I can't use it more during the winter, and the bow is a little low so don't put adults up there with moderate swells. Unless they are chicks and you want to get them wet.

2008 Challenger 180 with 6 hours for $10,000???? That sounds like a great deal if its in good shape.

Did anyone buy it? $10,000 is a teal. There is no way I'd sell mine for that and I've got 114 hours. Is that a lot for an '08?

Test drove it on Friday and signed the papers that afternoon. Took it out on Sunday. It is true the reply on one of the discussions, the bow is low and when you slow down and the water is choppy, you will get wet. Still trying to get use to the low idle turns. Overall, it is a great little boat for the family and it flies. Great on gas also.
