I have just bought a 97 seadoo sportster and I got some work done on the throttle when I first got it so now I got it running. When I put the boat in the water this weekend the throttle was working great but I noticed that the boat wasn’t running to its full potential. It seemed to be sputtering and cavitating out of the hole. Later that day I decided to change the spark plugs and put some sea foam in the gas and when I took it out it ran great. I was going at least 30 mph and it seem to be running great. Now I took it out tonight and it’s doing the same sputtering and cavitating. I’m not a mechanic but I’m pretty handy with tools. Any ideas on what to do would be greatly appreciated!

Start with looking into the pumps. Check out their condition. If it's cavitating bad, out of the hole.... but you can eventually get to speed... that's the carbon seal.
