Got boat back from mechanic all good with all new pump/bearings/impeller/WR and can't get hole shot
I'm I suppossed to feather the throttle to get it under load then accelerate??
When I would throttle forward(as to get hole shot) from idle I get the high revs and no go??
But if I slowly accelerate and feel boat moving I throttle up it goes???
Is that normal??
The other reason to cavitate would be through the carbon ring sucking air and give me a similar feeling but there is minimun amount of water in compartment??
By the time I made 3-4th pass up canal at 40+ mph lighting storm rolled in and had to get back to ramp..and then noticed throttle cable was not tightened down.
Following carb adjustment tomorrow b/c carb on port side butterfly only opens 3/4 of the way.
Broke off half of the threaded rod that adjusts throttle cable tension on starboard side. Left me enough threads so I don't have to get it replaced
:
Aslo, need a rpm gauge quickly...
Thanks for your comments
