Screw the bolt off all they way. It will not be the easiest thing in the world to put back on. YOu have to basically get the bolt to the end or almost all the way off to remove the clamp.
you got the carbs off, without removing/breaking the pipe, why do it to get to the reeds? Also, with carbs off, use a mirror to look at the reeds, if no chipped/broken, no need to replacethem. The stock ones are fine
Because i have a sprain in my hand and ive been getting sick of trying to work around it.. And my buddy got me a discount on the reeds so i just got em..
seadooya is right, don't remove the pipe at all. It has to be carefully cleaned(maybe resurfaced) and reinstalled exactly right or it will leak and you will ruin your motor.
just take the bolts out for the intakes, it will take 5 minutes and there's plenty of room, then pull the reeds out.
