A bad 96 rectifier can drive a fella crazy if he doesn't understand what's action up on him. :cuss:
Either that or the trigger pickup broke off.

Yep that's it, if you go to page 2 and look at the video, same shitty start button and all

"Black pearl is back"........shit, wait till you guys see my burnt orange metallic on top and black on bottom lol

The guy that built that ski is on this forum, is the one that screwed my top end rebuild on my 97xp. The kid selling that ski said it has not run right from the day he brought it home!!!!

I thought I remembered you have an issue with kustum. Cost you a lot of time and $ on a rebuild right?

Did he buy directly from gettem? And do you know if he paid the $4,000?

Just to clear it up on the black ski....Getem sold it for $2-2500ish to a guy in PA who immediately posted it back on CL for $4k.

"Getem" Does this guy run a shop? or is he just joe blow at home trying to fix stuff for people?

A lot of shops around me will not even do a top end on a Seadoo, and if they do they will not warranty it. They will guarantee their work on a complete rebuild and fuel system overhaul.

He says he runs a shop, but everything is done at his house, look at his website. He did the fuel system, said my crank was fine, and looked good, also told me when I brought my ski in and she blew 130 psi on each jug I should ride her through the summer and bring ski back in the fall?????? I should of known better.

Thats no good. Thats why I like to work on all my stuff.

I do not know of anyone that warranties a top end either. Most shops around here do not want to work on 2 strokes. They just want to push a new 4 steoke on you. I remember getem having some electrical gremlins with this, turned out to be a battery and starter relay. I do not think he has been on here in a long time. I also remember that he sold it to a guy in PA and he reposted it. I never said getem was selling it at $4000 just remember seeing it for $4000. I think this is the 4th time I have seen it for sale

Rob PM me more specifics about your issue with him, I will try to resolve it.

Personally I think hes a pretty good guy who loves Seadoos and didnt intend on getting one over on you. All he does is Seadoos/skidoos and has put together many many machines.

The fact that he doesn't have a legit commercial shop doesn't make him a hack. I dont...but I am in compliance of my local laws for an internet business and pay taxes. I dont do service work though. Personally I think guys like him are a far BETTER choice, as you get one on one service, and being that he only does Seadoos...he cares about them far more than some just out of school grease monkey at the stealership who knows nothing about vintage 2 strokes. Very rarely is a head mechanic doing work on anything but motor work.

No worries Nick, I'm over it. Its just every time I hear of him I get a little upset. I need to learn to keep my mouth shut!!! Still working on the details for the mirrors on the GSX!!!!
