Found this boat online but the guy is saying Bombardier is the mode. Not sure he understands what I’m asking. Looks maybe like a utopia? He says it’s a ‘02. Any thoughts on what exactly it is and if it’s a good option? I’ve heard many things about these engines but I’m not sure if it would be gen 1 or 2. Photos below

Air cleaner? I have not seen a Merc M2 with one yet.

Flywheel cover- round is Gen 1. Square-ish is Gen 2.

Sorry, that's what I meant. We always joked that what you were looking at on top of the Merc engine looked like the air cleaner on top of a car engine. Yes, it is a flywheel cover and the V-6 sits upright like an outboard motor. But the shape of the shroud would tell us what gen it was. Post up a photo.
