Most 2 stroke owners swear by their own oils that they have either been told works or in my case, have NEVER had any issues with. I have been running Golden spectra in every race motori have ever built. Has anyone had any bad luck with it, or is it even a desirable lubricant for watercraft? If so, which product do you recommend? I would like to stay with it if possible.

I'm guilty of sticking with XPS-II b/c the factory claims it works. :)

I've heard of that oil from two stroke dirt bikes. Even if it worked well it would get expensive quick. I use Amsoil Interceptor for rec riding and Klotz R50 in the racer.

Sorry, my mistake. Yes, the "golden" spectro is for bikes and ATV's. I should have Ben more specific. I would like to stay with the"spectro" brand! Is this a brand that will work well. There is a Spectro PWC extreme brand for watercraft. Has anyone used it and what are the results?
I know the spectro brand is expensive but I have never had a problem with it as I have with other brands.

The oil meets all the requirements and is rated API-TC, and is full synthetic. If you like the Spectro oil then use it. Personally I'm sticking with BRP XPS2. I have no idea what the Spectro oil costs, I get XPS2 from Mosites for 45.00 shipped.
