Adding a gas guage?

Probably not. Check the gas pickup, see if there are any wires coming out of the pickup, if there is you might have a chance to install a guage.

On that old of a ski the gas sender is probably not functional. That doesn't mean it can't be fixed, usually its just the float. There's a couple of threads on this subject already. You might want to check them out.

It wont...those have to old style tank. You would have to cut the cap off the extra "hole" on the tank, then the hard part...find the correct sensor. they had them in the 91 92 XP.

Yep, what he said. The first gen tanks won't work with the new senders. BUT.... you can find the senders on ebay.

So, yes, you can add the gauge... but it will cost more than it's worth, and 20 year old eBay parts may not be very reliable.

Yeah those things are not easy to find...esp. ones that still work.

I had one I wanted $80 for knowing they are hard to find. this guy gave me this sob story and that I'm asking way too much. After 2 months of him lookin for one he came back and bought it.

It is so easy to lift the seat and look at the level. Its good to do that anyway to look-see-smell any gas fumes from any gas leakage. Why do
people go for gauges? It ups the price!!!!!!!!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ My '93 SP goes all day and then some on a tankful. My other skis have them
(useless guages) and they are a PITA. PITA. PITA. My wifes has a cigar lighter.......She uses it! I don't smoke, so I don't want 1!

Back in the day, (I'm showing my age), motorcycles didn't have gas guages, when the bike motor started to sputter you turned the fuel valve to reserve and start to look for a gas station SeaDoo's also have this feature.
