Long live the 2 stroke Seadoo!

Ahh, a Kawasaki SC (Super Chicken), a cross between a golf cart and a PWC, I actually owned one on these for a couple of days.

The double trailer is worth five hundred bucks even at Fl prices. No way would I give back an XP I only had two hundred in regardless of how it's powered or registered. He has probably "forgot he even asked" as Spim suggested.

Did you get to ride it Lou?

No, when I got it, it was missing the carb., a Klien I think, by the time I started chasing parts down, a friend of the guy I bought it from called, I sold it to him and made a couple of hundred.

Did y'all get any of this storm? We got about 4" of snow last night, worst storm of the season, rain, freezing rain and then snow.

ya no kidding. If I had worries, I wouldn't hesitate to part it out, but honestly only if its not running. The ONLY thing I might do differently with that one is to keep the title open so it goes from Party A to Party C, skipping me (Party B) on the paperwork trail :)

He hasnt posted any pictures after all this time, i bet hes just trolling...

Kind of makes me wonder...
No response or picture after all this? Hmmmm
I guess he could have done as suggested an"forgot he asked". I just know the DNR down here don't play around and 99% of them here really know their shi* when it comes to skis.

Well I think that I'm deciding to give it back and take my money. Last night after some cleaning the bottom of the hull started pealing off. Low and behold its plasti dip! Now i have 2 all yellow seadoo xp's kind of pissed off about it which is why i haven't been on here of posted pictures. This guy must have lost the title and said f it. Not sure what the real story is behind this one . Isn't their another him tag location. I know my 96 has one on the rear and under the gas tank i believe. Again i should have known a 97 xp on a double trailer for 700 was to good to be true. Again not trolling just pissed and haven't been on I'm sure you guys can understand that. Ill post a pic of this nightmare tonight if i get home at a decent time

no worries.

The 97-04 XP has the HIN under the oil tank in the front. Remove the 2 rubber straps and it's a sticker...

it's also... a STICKER... so.. ya know.

a good double trailer is worth $500 any day, and $200 to part out a XP isn't all that bad...

I bet if you get enough parts off that XP, you may make out on this.

Yeah it just sucks because the ski itself inside is super clean and have a feeling it dosnt have many hours on it. Has strong compressing and holds at 150 starts every time all electronics work. This is a huge bummer I'm hoping i can get the other vin and do some looking. If its a lost title I can work on it.

tricky spot. (I still want my poorboy sammich)(and some smolich sausages plez) every time I see joliet I get hungry.

if it was me, i'd still keep it, i'd strip & sell the ski, make a decent profit, no losses... (or maybe try and get the seller to refund a couple hondo's after you tell him how complicated, ((and illegal)) he made this deal go down) especially if the title is in his name, and not just an open title.

in theory, you could maybe locate a valid plate and title for the right year, but that's really not recommended, just that i've heard of that done before. :)

see if you can squeeze the guy for a small refund, then part it out.

or... if you want it done right, ya, pull the correct VIN # if you can locate it, see if a title can be obtained for the correct vin, but in "theory" your also assuming the vin # you pull off the gas/oil tank is the original gas/oil tank as well, so you'll be 99% sure, but never 100%.

lots of good parts on a ski (have we decided this is a 97 at this point ?) the engine with compression = money, the MPEM = money, lots of misc parts = money. you can't lose out financially IMO by holding onto it, you'll probably make 70% profit.

so i'm actually confused at what the ski is, you said 97 with trailer was too hard to believe? so it is 96? either way if it's running i still think you're ahead

i'm thinking you meant 99 was too hard to believe right? and in fact it's a 97? solid deal, if you really don't want it, u can just turn around and sell it with NO TITLE

Yes it is a 100% 787 thats what iv been saying since day one.

SPIMOTHY - Bring you ski up when its warm and we will go haha

The tag and title say 99 which is why i was so confused

The title is open and the guy can just say i didn't sell that to you so i don't think ill get anything out of it.

The skis inside is so nice it would kill me to have to part it out. Id rather buy a hull and switch over all the parts. This motor has a solid 150 compression and holds pressure.

buy a 97 hull : problem solved :) if your an enterprising young lad you'll only have to move 1 part lol

I think i'm going to pick up the phone and order 5lbs of smokies right now ! the poor boy will have to wait until October, I go up to Plainfield for a wedding.

(I grew up in Crystal Lawn BTW)

lol is that suggesting to have him send me the tag and title? lol

October is still warm sometimes message me when you come
