Hey where is the beeper located on a 98 xp limited? How can I test it or what can I look for as far as if there is a fuse to it or not and where would fuse be located? The reason I asking is I have 2 of these pwc and neither one beeps or anything when I put lanyard on post. They start and run and everything works just no beeps and help would be great.

They are known to die. The quick test is to hook up your lanyard... then pull the wire on the temp sender on your engine, and ground it to a spark plug, or a clean bolt on the engine. You should hear it beep.
The buzzer is in the handlebar pad. You can replace it with a radio shack buzzer. They have one that is almost the same for $9. Just solder your wires to the + and the CONT terminals on it.
