Ok, so I'm a good mechanic when it comes to F-15's... but this little seadoo is kickin my butt. I just picked up this ski... guy said it was running and winterized before me buying it this spring. Some knuckle head crimped in a new wire, you know, that little 'extra' wire that is supposed to hook up to the negative terminal? Ya, that one... well, whoever it was, crimped in a new RED wire. So, basic electrics... I hooked it up to the positive terminal and POOF, fried and cracked open the coil. Now, replaced the coil and a replaced 7.5 fuse and I have the ski turning over, really well actually. Problem is, no spark!? Is there a way to test the coil (bought it used online)? The points look good and seems to be in good condition. Ok, so lets assume the coil is good... what is my next step? Any help is greatly appreciated
