Your The Man !!!! Thanks for the Info because for my rebuild thread I am going to do this. On that link you sent me, is this the color (SATIN SUMPTUOS PURPLE 85025?)
Yes that is the stuff, I would have preferred gloss or high gloss, but that is what the Seadoo lube will be for, cheap gloss. If you lay it down right it looks real nice. I consider myself a master of the rattle can! You really have to pay attention to the "build up" of the paint. And you can't clear it. I did a test piece with the Valspar purple and the Valspar clear coat. The clear broke down the purple and "thinned" it out and reflowed it.
Also when you did the caps on the exhaust, was it fora particular reason ? fro the previous owner on mine part of where it is tac welded.....I guess te exhause started to break, but it looks like they used Jb Weld and its been holding up for far.
Yes, on the under side of the pipe the bottom welch plug usually rots out first, the water just collects in there and sits. Mine was rotted and covered with some type of resin(can be seen earlier in this thread). I've heard guys use JB Weld and have good results. I believe in fixing it right the first time, and that to me is grinding off the old ones and welding on new ones, I also have the resources to do that. Now, when I ground off the bad one I did the upper one on the underside of the pipe. The upper one didn't need to be replaced it was perfect all the way through, so because of that I opted to not do the ones on the upper side of the pipe.
