i absolutely love the black inside parts, exhaust, etc, i might even suggest painting the red rave screws black as well, why not ? lol

Any updates on this? Im interested in how she is going to look when its done. Looking good so far

i'm with you man, the hull intrigued me but the engine did as well, with the black waterbox and everything. I've always wanted a darth vader ski (aka black pearl) so i'd love to see how it turns out.

Not much to update - have been working on customer skis more then mine lately. Did pick up the new seat cover and grips. Will have some new updates/pictures this weekend as I plan on installing the engine.

Looks great man! I really like the yellow seat cover. Add some yellow decals or maybe paint the gauge cluster yellow (just the top part, not the whole hood) with some yellow grips and it will tie it in. Nice job, well done! The black makes the ski look about 10 years newer haha.

The yellow seat cover looks great, good contrast to the black. Plus a all black seat cover would fry you butt in the hot sun.

Finally was able to get back to working on this ski. All wiring, ebox, gauges hooked up, handle bars & pad installed with new grips. Tested the ski to see if it would crank before I started to hook the exhaust and the remaining parts. Ski would crank perfectly but no spark. I started to check all fuses in back by coil, fuses in the ebox on the mpem. Changed out all fuses, cleaned all grounds, checked all wire connects. Now the ski will not crank when I press the start/stop button. Battery is fully charged, also tried another good working battery. If I cross the terminals on the starter solenoid the motor will crank strongly. Also with no key plug on the dess post the red oil light will stay on.

Any ideas what to check or do next. Did the mpem suddenly go bad ?

When you hit start stop button, will the gauges turn on, does the solenoid click? Or do you get absolutely nothing

Yes gauges turn on with the start / stop button. No click from solenoid. Also the oil light will stay on dimly with a slight flicker with no key plugged in - have to pull fuse or disconnect battery for the oil light to go out. This has got me confused as it was just cranking with the start stop button before I started checking for why no spark. Now no cranking from the start stop button, no spark and oil gauge acting weird.

I know what it is...

Sounds like MPEM issues...did you have to go thru it? I would double check all wires connected correctly in there, you can also run a ground direct from neg to inside the ebox to check to make sure there isnt a ground issue.

Were back in business, dirty wire connections by this below, I believe its a relay of some sort. Cleaned up all connections, motor cranks as expected and there is spark. Hope to hook up the exhaust and some hoses this weekend. Maybe get the carbs bolted on.

ok new question / problem that I have never seen or heard of before. Ski cranks, has spark, all gauges work, and beeps the 2 beeps like it should when the key is plugged in. When the key is removed the red led lights for the gauges stay lite, and wont go out until I disconnect the battery.
