Rebuilt carb twice now and still doing the same thing. It only accelerates to half throttle. I then have to pull push the choke to get it going.

Do not ride the ski anymore. It is running lean and will destroy your engine if you haven't already

no not rich. Idle screws are almost two turns out. I have turned them in and out. They only make a difference at idle. I switched carbs from other identical gtx and the problem stayed. Noticed tank relief not working so I replaced that. That did not make a difference either.

Compression 142 digital tescom gauge. Fuel selector CLEANED. I noticed if I feather the throttle it does the same thing as pulling the choke. I don't think it's fuel related any more. Just remembered on my 250r in a race it bogged idled fine thought it was my carb ended up being the cdi

Check the fuel lines and your filter / water seperator and inline if you have one. Key is you switched carb's. Must be supply. Pulling choke makes a diff it may be a air leak somewhere. It's easier to suck air then gas. I just went thru this song and dance for the last month or so! Was a bad filter / water seperator gasket! Pressure test a section at a time ( line pincher ) till you find the leak.

So now I have inline filter no selector valve and reserve connected to carb with inline filter. Decided to do the epem first. Something strange I swapped them and both ran terrible. So I swapped them back and the known good gtx ran great.
