Sunday I finished stripping the hull out, and went after it for about an hour with the powerwash, then scrubbed with purple cleaner.. this is as clean as the hull is going to get.
My next step is to remove everything else (rub rails, exhaust outlet, intake grate, etc,) flip it over and start shining up the bottom.

Last night I finished off the engine, so it's now waiting for the hull to be shined up like a new penny.
Pretty

And these are the carbs.. pretty indicative of the overall state the ski was in when I picked it up. They might need a rebuild, maybe, perhaps. :lols:

Looks good. What kind of tubing are you running for the oil lines? Not vinyl tubing from lowes, correct?
the clear lines you see in the pic are clear ace hardware lines, but that's just hooked up to my pressure tester, testing the RV cavity. Once I'm ready to fill it with oil and get down to business, I'll use yellow-ish tygon.

Good deal. Just double checking, I made that mistake before and was left with an oil filled hull after the vinyl tubing became hard as a rock from the oil and wouldn't seal well anymore. I believe you can still purchase the tubing by the foot from the dealer, racerxxx would know

I bought a 100' roll of it some time back, and have gone through about 1/4 of that... long ways to go :)

As far as the clear stuff turning hard and leaking, my parents have a GTX that they bought 10 years ago.. and about 8 years ago I converted it to premix and got rid of the tank. Used the clear line, and have not had an ounce of trouble out of it yet... so while I'm not a firm believer that the clear goes to crap, at the price I got the tygon for in the mass qty ultimately cost less.

Unpainted head bolts just mean you actually ride your shit and thus perform regular maintenance.

It is 'stock' other than sponsons, milled stock head, F/A and jetting, and hard jetted waterbox. I can't leave ANYTHING 100% stock. Unmolested? Absolutely.

Lol, then it's not really stock. Stock means, well, um......stock as it came off the assembly line.

This thing came hard jetted from the PO, I'm debating going back to stock, meaning stock.
