I have a family memember in the market for a pair of jet skis. We found two 2006 GTIs with 96 and 98 hours on them and with a double trailer. The owner is asking $9,500. NADA average retail is about $3,500 per ski. Which is closer to reality?

NADA has them rated at 130 HP. I'm sure there are faster skis out there, but I just sold my 97 Speedster with 180 total HP and that was a blast. Any thoughts on the GTI overall?

Hello. Purchased a 2006 GTI with 30 hours on 13 May. After three outings and with only 47 hours, on 6 July GTI quit running while travelling at 25 mph/ 5000 rpm. Tining chain broke, no idea how extensive damage is yet, but $$$$$$$ for sure. I cannot recommend 2006 GTI as it looks like I will be losing my investment.

Not a great deal, here I would expect to pay around 6000-6500 for the pair, especially this late into the season.

I think that price is a little high. Overall the GTI's are good skis. They are big and not as agile, but good for beginners and can tow a tube. They hit mid 50's.

Good skis, bad price. I bought a 2006 GTX SC 185 and a 2006 GTI SE 130 with a trailer for 7800. They each had 38 hours on them.
