Duh Huh....now you see why I'm not an engine know it all...LOL Yes, if I'd thought about that a little, I would've known that. I guess all the reading about front air intake (long) and rear air intake (short) got me confused. So where does the SC get it's air from, the factory air box? Sorry, I think I'm still confused

I posted a thread before.. I got the ski back yesterday and threw the free flow on and went out on the water.. I haven't had the ski for a few weeks so I wanted to get out, later on tonight ill be putting the intake on and taking care of everything else

Ill start ya off lol if you choose to go with a 4 inch intake your going to need the R&D supercharger adapter allowing the supercharger to take a 4 inch hose yor also going to need 7-8 feet of kanaflex hose.... Make sure it's kanaflex or it won't stand up to the sucking action of the SC


EDIT: heres a list of everything i used for the FRONT intake and their prices.

7’feet of 4”inch Kanaflex hose KA620WD-4 - $28
Two 4inch” hose clamps KADC4 - D$ 5
R&D Supercharger coupler - $40
PVC coupler (4” O.D.) - $ 2
Spectre Filter - $25

I installed everything last night and it looks great and sounds great.. Garret, I used actually a how to I found to install everything.. Ill send you the link through your email...

Also you can get the stainless steel pipe off eBay.. Just make sure you get stainless if your going to be riding in salt water

Like kk said in his video 90degree mandrel bend and at least 5 and 12 inches on either side

You can also add a screen at the top of the intake pipe to keep debris out. I managed to tear mine and it needs to be replaced.



As you can see mine are a little rough and need to be re-done. thanks for making me take the pic or i would've never noticed :facepalm:

Again, if you use water weld to fill in make sure you dont use too much because that stuff is a pain to sand off. I started by hand and about 10 min into it barely put a scratch on the first bolt hole. Then i switched to a DA sander and still took me 30 min

Thanks Matt for the email......ok, so not knowing a lot about what I'm doing, this doesn't seem to be as easy as I thought it'd be. On the front air intake system...did ya'll remove the stock air box, hoses, etc. or just disconnect and run the new? Removing it with the engine in the seadoo looks like it'll be a pain in the you know what. Anyway, I filled the ride plate holes last night and I really would like to do the rear air intake but, just not sure of the right plan of action as far as getting good fresh air to it??

How long is your SS pipe coming out of the reducer going into the SC?

I own a custom exhaust bending machine. I am wondering if it is worth coming up with something rather than piece together miscilanious parts. I can bend four-inch pipe up to 180 degrees in most cases, depending on the pipe. Stainless Steel is normally good for 120 degrees before it shows creases. Aluminized pipe is more forgiving...
