Ok I've had the boat a couple years and the cavitaion just gets worse. So, after much research I found that I will need the Prop reconditioned, wear ring bored and lined w/ SS and have the stayer fins recondioned. Any Tips on how to get all that stuff off with minimal hassel. I understand the prop stays when the housing is pulled will a 1"13/16 socket take the nut off easily? How do refill it with oil?

Welcome to the forum. There is a Merc powered boat section where you should post this question. To refill with oil, you would need 2 quart bottles and a pump.
