Hello! First time on this forum, wealth of information. I have a 2002 GTX-DI that runs fine except when in the water. Only idles (about 3000 rpm max) while under load. Runs great on dock. Replaced the "brain", the fuel pump, the wiring harness, the stator, the injectors, not sure what else there is? Have over $2000 into this thing and still no fix. These fixes were all suggested by dealer who had it for 7 months! the dealer also replaced impeller and wear ring too.

I'm going crazy here. About to sink this thing.

Any advise is much appreciated.

Any warning lites on the gauge while running? Would help if you would give a detailed description of exactly the ski does when in the water. It will only idle or only go up to 3000 rpms ?

Thanks for the quick replies. No warning lights on gauges. Fires right up, idles nicely. Revs up fine on land. Put in water, idles nicely, it goes up to about 3000 RPM's max, that's it. Will not come out on plane, just plows through at like 5 mph. Like I said, ive replaced just about everything I can think of that could be (although I guess it can be anything). Dealer checked compression and said it was good. I don't recall the numbers they said, it was about a year and a half ago.

Thanks again if you have any ideas I can try

You have a 951 and compression should be around 135, you've got a 951 direct injection, it's a little hard to diagnose if it's a fuel problem. Since it's been a year and a half check the compression and let us know what it is, that will at least help us determine if it's an engine problem.

Vac pump in the rear of the ski is full of junk or bad.. or vac pump on engine may be bad also.. Just a guess.. Also check the red line from front to back they do rub and get a hole thru the line sometimes.

Sorry for my ignorance, could you explain what a vac pump is? And the red line? Never heard of them.

Thanks

Unless I missed something... they don't have a vac pump. The Di engines have a pressure pump, to raise the fuel pressure high enough to overcome the cyl pressure. If you have an air leak... the don't run at all.

No I have not. Never heard of RAVE valves. Thank you. Will research them a bit and look at them. They are part of the exhaust? Are they difficult to remove/replace? Thanks for all your help
