2000 xpl seat shock replacement?

So what are people using for a replacement shock for the seat on a 2000 XP limited. I took my seat off and took the spring off of my shock. Pushed the shock in to see how it rebounds and it didn't. I couldn't pull it back out. It was stuck compressed. Buy used or anyone know a replacement? Thanks

Buying used is the way to go. I don't know of an alternative.

I got rid of my shock completely. Lowered the seat height to where the shock would be at max compression. Lower seat height lower center of gravity. Rides like a different machine. Doesn't feel as tippy.

I drilled two holes in the shock body to drain the oil and get the shock to return back out. I have the spring set at second highest ( I'm only 180lbs). I will see how bouncy it is using the shock as a guide.
