GTI SE Passenger seat

Remember when the 21 and 22 sea doo's had a recall on the passenger seat because the stud receiver and latch spring broke off? Well guess what just happened to my 2024...Sea Doo doesn't have a recall on it YET, I suspect eventually it will happen. I have replacement parts, but there isn't a video on YouTube or any reading material on HOW TO REPLACE PASSENGER SEAT BASE ASSEMBLY. I know the BRP button covers the access area, but I don't want to go digging around without a plan. Has anyone every taken apart their passenger seat?

Similar but different situation for my '22 GTI...the latch broke on mine locking the seat in place. I know how to remove it, but I have to use a screw driver to release the spring latch.

I called the dealer and apparently, the prior owner had it checked a few months ago and given the OK.

They stated they'd still put in a recall/warranty request to BRP - still waiting for the results.

By coincidence, I was inspecting the seat today to see if there's a way to separate the plastic base, but it certainly doesn't look easy and I won't attempt it until I hear back from the dealer.
