I’m rebuilding a 2000 seadoo gtx di
951cc
I have a question
The air compressor sleeve appears to have an o-ring #28 C249A31A-075A-4E8F-B2E3-FFFBC1ED1AE7.pngin between the case and the sleeve ….. is this correct ? Does it need to be replaced?

Thanks for the help

It is a good idea to replace it. If you don't have a new o-ring and are concerned you can put a little 518 on it and assemble the compressor.

The picture is slightly misleading. The o-ring does not go between the sleeve and the crankcase. It goes between the top of the sleeve and the air compressor head (#26). And yes, I would replace it if you have the compressor head off due to how important air pressure is to a DI.

Another quick question….
About Piston and bore size
I purchased a cylinder from sbt
they sent me standard pistons
When installed there is a lot of room between the piston and the cylinder walls
How much oversized should the cylinder diameter be ? ( I know the rings take up some room)
What diameter should the piston be and what size should the cylinder be ?
Thank for your help

Bore size should be around .004" to .005" roughly, .008" is the max limit on stock pistons. Bore size recommendations change with piston manufacturer. Check your piston ring gap also.
