2" gauge removal tool

Hey everyone!
I keep seeing old posts of some homemade tool that was used to remove gauges on the old mid 90's xps.

However all the links on this forum seem broken.

Does anyone have any info on this?

It is just a piece of pvc pipe heated with a heat gun until it is soft enough to be slid over the nut. Once it cools it will harden and can be used to unscrew the plastic nut.

Great Idea! Any idea the pipe size that's recommended?

I assume this is without taking apart the entire lid? (just the small access hole in the bottom?)
