OK, good to know, thanks. I have repaired my tank with epoxy and fiberglass. There is a thread about it here somewhere :)

If you ran 55 with you and the wife on it, I wouldn't touch the RAVE adjustment.
The RAVE adjustment does not impact the top end speed at all. As long as they open, you will get the top end. 55 with two on board seems a little high. GPS? Anyway, the rave adjustment only changes the RPM point that they open. At that point, you essentially raise the exhaust port and allow it to breath better. It allows for more top end revs, but you loose torque. I would try the RAVE adjustment before you mess with the pop-off since it is such an easy test. It still may be a pop-off issue, but why not test the easy stuff first.

So I finally got around to pulling the carbs and I found that the PTO carb was loose. It appears i might have overtightened the bolts and they were sloppy. I found that the thread inserts were junk at the end of the holes. I performed a pop off test on the carbs and they are 32 and 30 psi. I installed some longer bolts in the carb with washers and tourqed to 15ftlbs. It feels solid now and I'll run it on the trailer on Sunday. It will be a bit before I get it beak in the ocean. I'll provide an update then.
