I know it's not pretty, but this isn't going to be a trailer queen either. I'm going to ride the shit out of this x4

Unless your ski is just good in front of the camera that thing looks pretty damn good. Are the decals faded at all?

If you get it too pretty you won't want to ride it, like Racer. Haha jk man

Decals are freshh except one part by the fuel filler. Someone spilled fuel down side and you can see it

Yea it pisses me off. The graphics are in good shape except where someone spilled gas numerous times over the years

I have to give the credit for these to Racerxxx, He worked with Mike to get these put together. He has the bad ass blue gradient on his ski and I went with the pink. I think they should look pretty good!

OEM Restore, and your not going to paint it the engine?!?!? Racer, you gunna let him put those chipped paint head bolts back in this ski??? I think you gotta paint it, I mean, you have like 5 more months before riding time. Lol.

If I knew how to post a poll up here I would, but who thinks Adam should repaint his engine??

I.

You have to blast it first. I have some plates to block off everything but the starter

+1

Its already out it wont take much time :)

I really like this build although I know literally nothing about this model ski "lots of reading to do". So far its looking very nice!

I've got a blast cabinet. If I paint it, it's not going to get blasted first. I'm not doing a Dan resto here guys lol

Where did you get that dolley for the jetski to sit on? Are you able to get under it and wax pretty easily with that one? I always wondered how people are waxing their entire hull on these resto projects. I saw some people removed everything and flipped it over but surely not everyone waxing their hull is going through that amount of trouble. Mine is on a sea doo trailor making waxing the bottom a royal pita which is why I havnt started yet lol!

I bought this dolly from Spim, it was a good deal. You can make them yourself though cheap. I used a different stand to flip the ski and do the bottom. If I'm just waxing it though, the bottom(which I don't often) I just do it on the trailer

The 95 XP 800 was the first X4 to have the 787 engine and come with the "hump" seat. It was a late limited number release in 1995. Supposedly only 2 of these skis per dealer. Then there was the 95 XP800 with the 787X which is even rarer. This engine was done so Seadoo could meet the minimum requirements to race in the 1200 class. It was bored 1st over from the factory. The 95 also has a more aggressive timing curve and a fine thread pto.
