I've got one decent chunk missing on the bottom of the hull. Anyone have experience patching?

I touched up a spot on the rxx from being beached. It's easy. Just tedious

Forrest lake gone
The ding on the nose I'm not really concerned about but there is one on the bottom that's a alittle bigger than that one

You don't even wanna see the bottom of my resto XP800. I looked everywhere for factory gel and I think I found the yellow but it was crazy expensive and then the magenta is not possible to fine (maybe racer can find it?)

I ended up just patching the bad areas (exposed fiberglass) by mixing my own gel and doing my best to color match it. None of my skis ever have damage on the bottom so it ate me up knowing it was there, but at this point its an out of sight out of mind kinda thing. I spent a lot of time and research agonizing over it but reason ended up winning. On the bright side because of it its the one and only ski I will beach! haha

Adam, what process are you using to restore the gel? May just be the pictures but it still looks a little hazy.

It still has a little haze, I'm not finished yet. I haven't waxed or anything. Still just using compound. I haven't done any wet sanding at all

The nose is the only place with slight hazing, I haven't hit it too hard yet though. I'm off wed-sun so I plan on really getting after it and finishing up the exterior.

Lol the bottom of my ski was destroyed compared to that! I used a gel patching kit and attempted to mix to match. It was way off. But I didn't care since I was putting a keel guard on it. I just wanted the raw fiberglass covered.
