hi guys, I recently picked up a mint 1995 xp 717 with supposedly blown top end, only has 3 scratches in the hull and only minor. I don't care what the PO told me in my opinion the crank bearings are questionable I hear a mettalic metel on metel sonnd so I think its shot. But I only paid $150 for ski, BRP cover and trailer. I got papers for the ski and trailer surprisingly. The PO didn't get the memo on fuel lines and we all know what the result is.

My main question is, is this engine rebuildable from SBT or SES without extra charge? I just need some input as to if its worth it, I know they are machine shops over there so if you can tell me what you think that would be much appreciated thanks. I have yet to test the MPEM but I tested the VTS motor and it works great.

Thanks

I send my roached 787 to sbt with a shattered piston, beat up head, and trashed cylinder and I had 0 issues.

I used SES twice and one looked far worse then what you have there and did not have any extra fees. You should be fine without any extra fees, as long as your cases are good and not cracked or have holes blown through them.

ok sounds great then, the crankcase is in good condition and the crankshaft still looks great but has bad bearings thats all. I plan on useing SES.

Thanks
