I’m rebuilding the carbs on my GTX and I was looking at the different kits out there and ran into a potential problem. It seems the spring for the needle valve, Part No. 270 500 242, is no longer available or a close replacement. Has anyone had this problem before and found a remedy?

Buy it under the Mikuni part number. 95 gram. Dull silver 730-03027-T
BN 38I (improved)
check with Seadoo Source they may be able to help.
Search for a Mikuni watercraft carb owner’s manual

No, the 270 500 242 is not a 95 gram spring.
It is a 65 gram spring, Mikuni number 730-03033
It was only used on the 657X motors and the RX-X.

Thanks Mikidymac, I just thought with the age of the PWC, it might be good to change. I found the 730-03030 on line, so that is the spring Seadoo calls 270 500 242. Also, I read your Seadoo Carb rebuild thread. Absolutely outstanding, people like you make us DIY’s job soooo much easier. Thank you very much!
