Ok so I'm in a rut and stuck. So my buddy wants me to help him get his 2000 LRV goin. So basic maintenance being performed. Gray fuel lines out, carbs exchanged for good used set because they were so bad throttle butterfly gets stuck at full throttle and doesn't retract to idle. So the good used set completely rebuilt using genuine mikuni soft parts. So then we get to the jet pump to check wear ring and change oil the jetpump is leaking oil and wearing is chunked and the impeller has a major ding in which one of the blades is severely bent. So my buddy opts to buy a rebuilt jetpump with a new impeller, new wear ring, rebuiltbearings and fresh jetpump oil. Also while I'm in there gonna change out driveshaft, carbon ring and boot. So I'm thinkin that all 951 jetpump are all the 155mm size and all the same. I guess they are not! Here is the original

Now here is the new rebuilt one....

The main difference is the lip that rests against jet pump shoe. They are definitely different depths! So the main culprit is the giant o ring that seals pump to shoe. It doesn't allow the pump to rest agains shoe so torquing of nuts distorts pump and locks it. I need help with suggestions of what I need to get this pump on because it might be inreturnable! I was looking at maybe using a foam neoprene seal like what is used on 140 mm jet pumps. Help!!!!
