How comfortable and dry is the ride on the newest GTX model?

You won't be disappointed in the ride of the new GTX. We had experience with riding our GSX on Lake Erie chop while visiting family, and knew we needed something better and more stable. We purchased a new 2019 GTX 155 in 2020. We ride it on Canyon Lake in Texas and it handles the weekend chop...

    2021 GTX 170 or 230?

I purposely bought a new 2019 GTX155 because I didn't want a first year engine. The 170 may be fine, but since the 155 had been around for years and had proven to be a great engine, I chose it. I have not been disappointed in its performance. Also, it sips fuel. I stayed away from the 230 as it...

    Factory depth finder

I'm thinking about buying a Seadoo depth finder for my 2019 GTX. Anybody have experience with these units? Are they accurate while driving, or do you have to be at trolling speed? I like the idea of using the existing display, but wonder if it is worth the extra cost. I was also looking at a...

    2019 gtx speedometer

Guess the gps is not receiving properly as my sport watch has no problems out on the open water.

    2019 gtx speedometer

I just purchased a new 2019 hrs 155. I only have 2 break in hours so far. The speedometer does not appear to be working properly as it rarely registers above 9 miles per hour even though per my sport watch, I am cruising along at 20 mph. Also, I cannot get any other functions (clock,compass...

    Mystery vent line

Thank you both. My model squirts out the back so this must be the battery vent. Really odd as the battery is located in the rear.

    Mystery vent line

While cleaning the bilge under the engine, I felt a loose hose laying there. I traced it up to the front left side and out a tiny vent hole just below the rub rail. Does anyone know where I should connect the other end? Could it be a battery vent line?

    GSX RFI AIRBOX

That makes sense! I also pulled my rave valves for a cleaning. I don't know if the po ever did but I found a sticky mess. Not much hardened carbon, just sticky goo. I have always used full synthetic oil since I owned the ski. Bellows and o rings were still supple. While I had the valves out, I...

    GSX RFI AIRBOX

Ok, I'll leave it alone. I also wanted to replace the small oil hoses. You had mentioned that I should use 3/35" hoses. I found hose with a 3 /32" inside diameter. Will that work as well?

    GSX RFI AIRBOX

I am working on my 2000 gsx rfi 787 getting it ready to take out. Since I just purchased this ski last summer, I am trying to clean everything. I opened the airbox to check and found the flame arrestor to be free of any rust. Does the flame arrestor act as an air cleaner as well? Do I need to...

Fixing up the Wifes 1996 GTX

Nice job of stripping the graphics and polishing the hull. What kind of polish did you use? Anxious to see it once it's finished.

    Gas tank vent lines

Ok, thank you both for the information.

    Gas tank vent lines

I was working on my 2000 GSX RFI today and noticed that the vent lines from the top of the tank were the old grey hoses. All the gas lines leaving the pump are black hoses. Should the grey vent lines be replaced as well or can I leave them since no gasoline actually passed through them. What...
